"Your peace is more important than driving yourself crazy trying to understand why something happened the way it did. Let it go." (Mandy Hale)
Hello, my lovely friends!
It’s been a lazy week for me because I injured my knee the other day. I was working out and did some stretches and felt something pull in my right knee. Remember a few years back when I fell out of the car and landed right on my right knee? It was injured for a while. It’s the same knee and now I’ve had a sore knee all week. I haven’t been able to do anything, but sit and do nothing. It’s not as bad as it was earlier this week, but I’m still bored.
Since I can’t do much I thought I’d talk about what I do on a lazy day. If you have any ideas or things that you do to have some lazy time to yourself put those in the comments to share with everyone.
1. Comfy Clothes: if you're going to have a lazy day you should wear something comfy. If you want to hang out in your jammies all day, you do you. I like wearing some comfy sweats and an oversized sweater with fuzzy socks.
2. No Makeup: you all know I'm a makeup person, but not on lazy days. Those are the days for doing a face or sheet mask and put on some moisturizer and no makeup.
3. Cookbook time: I have a ton of cookbooks, but don't use them as much as I would like to do. On lazy days I like to pull out a few cookbooks and pick out some recipes that I want to try and put a grocery list together.
4. Take a nap: there's something about having a gloomy or cold day happening and taking an hour nap.
5. Go through magazines: I have a pile of magazines that I go through and cut out pictures, words and recipes. I use the first two for my journals. I just cut things out and put pictures and words in a photo box to use later on.
Thank you so much for stopping by today.
I wish you a good morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are.

I read cozy mysteries in my jammies with soft music playing. A good cup of tea and I am all set. I love those days.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely reading and watching good movies is always on my list for lazy days!
ReplyDeleteHOPE that your knee feels better. So sorry!

It's Kathy. I love your ideas for a lazy day. I pretty much wear comfy clothes all the time because I rarely go anywhere except the gym. Haven't worn make up my whole life even though my mother was a Mary Kay dealer. She was always trying to give me a make over. With 5 kids, I just never had the time. I like the idea of looking through cookbooks, I am always trying to find new recipes. By the way, I make your Beef Stew in the Slow Cooker this week and it was AMAZING! Have a good day.
