Taking Baby Steps

"To be happy you must let go of what's gone. Be grateful for what remains. Look forward to what is coming." (Author Unknown)

Hello, my lovely friends!

Thank you for all the love in my last blog. It truly means so much to me and it was incredibly hard to tell you all that. So, thank you for being wonderful and supportive of me. I have a plan to work through my problem. The guy I’m seeing online did some research and found an out-patient place that I can go to five times a week for meetings. Also, I decided to train for a marathon, not sure if I’m going to do one but I’m going to try my hand at running. I’m also changing up my diet. I did this when I quit smoking and did very well on it. So, I have a plan set up.

Let’s get back into the swing of things with this blog. How have you all been? What’s been going on? I really missed being here with you all. It’s been a little battle, but now that she’s off of the metformin she is really committed to doing better.

Our weather has been very spring-like here. Our temps were near 70s’ and will stay that way for the rest of the week. There’s no snow other than in the mountains. We’ll have a little bit of rain today, but back up in the 60s’. I’m going to clean up the garden containers to get them ready for the gardening season. The plan is to clean things up within the next month to have to ready for planting. Gardening will also help feed my soul and keep my head focuses on something.

There’s not a February coffee bar because the January one is still up. I just haven’t wanted to change it up. So, I think this weekend I might change it for March to have it done early.

My mom is doing well. Her doctor decided to take her off of Metformin because she’s been on it forever and they want to see how she does with just insulin because of her kidneys. So she’s just taking really good care of herself to keep those numbers down.

This week has been hard putting a plan together and working through it. I know I can do this and have so much support online and in person. I’m just taking it one day at a time and that’s the best I can do right now.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I wish you a good morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are.
