Finally My Garden

Hello, my lovely friends!

 

I’ve been teasing you with the idea of a garden tour, but I was starting to think I'd have to cancel. It felt like a total flop, starting so late. But guess what? My green thumb (or lack thereof) finally paid off!

 

Here's the garden...

 

Daisies and salvia need deadheading.Meanwhile, mums await their new home in the front yard, and lavender dreams of its potted paradise in the back. 

My little garden is a surprise party waiting to happen! I thought I'd snagged an extra strawberry plant, but it turned out to be a zucchini that's now throwing a major growth spurt. The leaves are so big and lush, they could practically cast a shadow on the whole garden. And hiding underneath? A whole bunch of tiny zucchini babies, just waiting to grow up and be snacked on.

I've also got a colorful mix of green and red bell peppers, a spicy kick of jalapenos, and four tomato plants—two big guys and two cherry-sized cuties. It's like a mini-farmers market in my backyard!

My herb garden is thriving! My lemon thyme has exploded with growth, my Italian parsley keeps on giving, and my basil looks absolutely stunning. I also picked up a new rosemary plant that needs a new home. Unfortunately, my four-year-old rosemary plant recently passed away, but I'm excited to start fresh with this new one.

 

Lastly, let’s talk about the lettuce. It’s a bit of a mystery over here. Only three of the containers have sprouted – Spinach, Romaine, and a medley. The other two are empty, and I’m stumped. Maybe the soil in those containers is exhausted after four seasons of use. It’s time for a fresh start!

 

    This year’s garden is a testament to patience and perseverance. It was a late bloomer, and there were moments when I doubted its potential. But with a little extra care and a lot of hope, it transformed into this vibrant, thriving oasis. The colors are a feast for the eyes, and the aroma is intoxicating. I can't wait to see what it accomplishes next year. Watch out, world—this garden is only getting bigger and better.
