Chatting It Up

Hello my spookies!

Holiday blogs have been hogging all the spotlight lately, but I'm ready to step back into the limelight and have a good old-fashioned chat with all of you!

Okay, let's dive into the car crash drama! So, it's been a week since the fender-bender, and guess what? The other driver's insurance company is finally taking the blame! They're owning up to their mistakes, which is a huge relief. On Monday, we dropped the car off for a damage assessment, and we're anxiously awaiting the verdict.

The good news is that we're getting a rental car next week when we take it in for repairs, and the insurance company is footing the bill. My mom's stress levels are dropping like a rock now that things are finally moving forward. Phew!

Everyone’s pretty much back in fighting shape after our little mishap. Mom’s got a new accessory: a black and blue steering wheel tattoo. My face is almost back to normal, except for the under-chin bruise that looks like a hickey from a particularly aggressive mosquito. And my knee? Well, it’s been a drama queen. One day, it was like, 'I’m too injured to go out!' The next day, it was all, 'Oh, I’m feeling better now.' Talk about mood swings!

Beep beep! We're veering away from car talk and heading towards more exciting adventures!

So, the company's kaput, but we've been living it up this week! Having my sis around has been a blast, but let's just say we've been running on fumes. We've been dashing around like squirrels in a nut factory. Last Sunday, we finally hit the snooze button hard because we were basically walking zombies. But hey, we've had some epic movie nights and talked 'til the cows came home. I'm gonna miss having her around when she's gone – she's the real MVP of this chaos

May this season be filled with haunted houses, pumpkin patches, and plenty of spooky surprises.

Thank you for stopping by…

  1. Insurance companies just take their time making decisions to try to avoid the responsibility for the occurrence and the payout! Glad they’ve made the decision to pay. HOPE that the damage to your car is not huge and the repair can be done quickly. Glad that you’ll have a rental car in the meantime, and the insurance company is paying for that.

Well, the good part is nobody was severely injured, thank goodness!

So happy you had a good time w/your Sister. I am sure it livened up your Mom, too. AND Scooter probably enjoyed the extra attention, too!

    Cannot believe we’re so close to Halloween already! Lord. Where . . . is . . . the . . . time . . . flying!

Here’s to a wonderful Thursday. And healing!

  2. Dealing with insurance companies can be a nightmare. It's a blessing that all has worked out in your favor.
A busy time with family builds special memories. Sadness when it's over. ((big hugs)) 🤗💖

  3. Yup, lots of weird bruises show up, I had a great one from the seatbelt that was really a rainbow of colours. Good to hear that things in that area are getting settled and healing. Yeah, I love when my sister and I get to spend time together and we always over do and then need to rest up but it is so worth it. Huge hugs.

  4. It's Kathy. I'm glad the other driver's insurance company is stepping up - as they should. It's been a very long time since we've had to deal with an insurance company and I hope it never happens again. My husband is a very good driver and I usually have him drive me - it takes the stress off of me. Especially now that I'm still recovering from my surgery! I'm also glad you all took a pause and rested a bit! That's my plan for today!
