Finally Doing Fall Stuff

Hello, my lovely friends!

Well, well, well... looks like Mother Nature finally remembered it's November. After months of teasing us with its warmth, it decided to unleash the full force of winter. Who knew that November 1st could be so... brrr... chilly?

However, it was time to change some things in the house for the colder months. Is there anything you do once the Fall season rolls in? Maybe you bake a warm apple pie, recalling childhood memories of autumn. Or perhaps you light scented candles, filling your home with the comforting aroma of cinnamon and cloves.

It was still furnace-hot last month, so I couldn't do much besides sweat and dream of cooler days. But now that the weather's finally turned, I'm ready to start doing cooler weather things.

1. Changing my bed sheets ~ There's nothing quite like diving into a sea of flannel when it's freezing outside. It's like being wrapped in a warm, comforting blanket that's big enough to share with your favorite people (or pets). The soft, fuzzy fabric feels so good against your skin, and the warmth it provides is simply unbeatable. It's the perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day, or to snuggle up with a good book on a rainy afternoon.

2. Cleaning out the closet~  it's getting chilly! Time to swap out my summer wardrobe for my cozy winter gear. I'm so excited to bundle up and stay warm. And let's be honest, who doesn't love a good closet clean-out?

3. Fall scents throughout the house ~  I'm a candle enthusiast who's not a candle burner. I have a whole army of warmers scattered around my house, keeping my candles fresh and fabulous for years!  Last year, I decided to give my decade-old candles a break and replaced them with some fall favorites: Oatmeal Cookie, Pumpkin Buttercream, Caramel Pecan, and Apple Cider.

4.  Clean the windows ~ Our windows are always wide open, inviting the fresh air to dance through our home. But all that fresh air can leave a little something behind—a smudge here, a streak there. Now that the holidays are twinkling on the horizon, it's time to give our windows a spa day and get them ready to shine bright for the season!

5.  Stock up on the comfort food essentials ~  You all know I'm a total foodie, and when it gets chilly, I love whipping up cozy comfort food. But let's be real, I'm always running low on random spices and ingredients. So, I did a deep dive into my pantry and spice cabinets to see what I need to restock.

6.  Look through all my beauty products ~ The holiday season is just around the corner, and with it comes the highly anticipated end-of-year sales. I'm currently in the midst of a beauty inventory, taking stock of my favorite products and planning my shopping strategy for the ultimate beauty haul. I'm excited to take advantage of these incredible deals to replenish my favorite products and try out some new ones. I'm particularly interested in finding new foundations, mascaras, and eyeshadow palettes. I'm also on the lookout for holiday gift sets, which are always a great value. I can't wait to see what amazing deals I can find!

So glad you could stop by! Wishing you a splendid rest of your day/evening/morning, wherever you may be.

Until next time! Adios...

    1. I know we've been so warm, pretty much hot here until last week. It's finally feeling like fall, I was still in shorts. So, its nice to have cooler weather and comfy clothes on.

Yes, I did my mail-in ballot last week. It took us two hours to do it, but worth it.

Hope you have a fabulous day! (((BIG HUGS)))

  3. It's Kathy. Now that we are no longer on Daylight Savings Time, I like to close up the curtains at the first hint of night. I love candles and would like at least 2 burning but can't afford that any longer. When I settle in the living room for evening, I do light one! Now is the time to get the slow cooker out and keep it busy. I'm still not cooking all that much but I do love soups and stews! As for bed sheets, we found some on Amazon that are fleece and they are so cozy, I've left them on all summer. But especially now it makes it hard to get up to a cold house when I'm so warm!
