A Little This and That

"To be happy you must let go of what's gone. Be grateful for what remains. Look forward to what is coming." (Author Unknown)

Hello, my lovely friends!

As the days grow shorter and the nights become cooler, we witness a breathtaking transformation in nature: the transition from the vibrant heat of summer to the crisp coolness of fall. This seasonal shift is a time of extraordinary beauty, marked by vibrant foliage, cozy evenings, and the anticipation of the holidays to come.

The crisp, cool air of autumn invites us to enjoy outdoor activities that were less appealing during the summer months. Hiking, biking, and apple picking become popular pastimes as people seek to soak up the beauty of the changing seasons. Cozy evenings spent by the fireplace with a good book or a cup of hot cocoa are another cherished autumn tradition.

As the days get shorter, we also begin to feel the anticipation of the holidays. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are all celebrated during the fall months, bringing joy, wonder, and a sense of community. The decorations, traditions, and gatherings associated with these holidays create a festive atmosphere that helps us to appreciate the beauty and spirit of the season.

The transition from summer to fall offers a unique blend of natural beauty, seasonal delights, and holiday cheer. As we witness the changing leaves, enjoy the crisp autumn air, and celebrate the upcoming holidays, we can truly appreciate the magic of this extraordinary season. Fall is a time for reflection, gratitude, and the joy of simple pleasures.

Yesterday was a whirlwind of errands. My mom had to do some blood work, and as fate would have it, they were offering flu and COVID shots. We both got those out of the way. But as soon as I mentioned my history of post-vaccination discomfort, I knew I was in for it. To prepare for the inevitable, I made a quick dash to the nearest market, stocking up on easy-to-prepare comfort foods. After all, a well-stocked pantry is a warrior's best defense against feeling under the weather.

As the crisp autumn air begins to settle and the days grow shorter, a certain magic fills the world. It's the time of year when cozy sweaters, pumpkin spice lattes, and the twinkling lights of holiday decorations become synonymous with comfort and joy

So glad you could stop by! Wishing you a splendid rest of your day/evening/morning, wherever you may be.

Until next time! Adios...
