Yummy Strawberries

"The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in your determination!" (Denise Austin)

 Hello, my lovely friends!

I had to go to Sam's Club the other day to pick up a few things and I saw that they had the big container of strawberries on special for $2.98, WOW! I know that's what I said so you know I had to get them. Now I could just eat strawberries just like that especially for breakfast in your cereal or just plain. I thought I show you one of my favorite ways to use strawberries.

You know that you should never wash your strawberries until you are going to eat them because they can become molded really fast. The first thing I do is hull the strawberries and that means just cutting off the stem.

I place the hulled strawberries into my colainder to wash and let them drain. I then slice the strawberries and place the slices into a deep container.

I then get my Splenda and red wine vinegar. Sprinkle about 1 TBSP. of the sugar into the container and then get your red wine vinegar and pour 1/4 to 1/3 cup of the vinegar into the container.

Put a lid on the container and shake it up to mix it all together. Place it in the fridge and let it all get to know each other for a few hours. The strawberries liquid becomes like a syrup, it's sweet with a little tang to it and nothing at all of vinegar.

Some of the uses for the straweberries and red wine vinegar:
1. scoop of ice cream, frozen yogurt
2. use it in a smoothie in the morning
3. mix it in with yogurt
4. make homeade lemonade and use the strawberries to make it strawberry lemonade
5. by themselves, super yummy!

Thank you so much for stopping by.

I wish you a good morning, afternoon or evening wherever you are.

Until next time… Adios!
