Spiced Tea (recipe)

Hello, my lovely friends! 

    There is really nothing quite like holding a warm, steaming mug of spiced tea once the air gets crisp and the leaves start showing off those rich autumn colors. My mom has been making this exact recipe for as long as I can remember, back when I was still in single digits and needed help reaching the counter. She always just called it spiced tea, but a few years ago I found out people also call it Russian Tea or Friendship Tea. Honestly, whatever name you want to give it, it just tastes and smells like pure fall, and it instantly makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

My biggest piece of advice is to make a massive batch of this mix right now and store it in an airtight container so you can sip on it all through the fall and winter months. It is such a simple comfort to have on hand when you come in from the cold. On top of being your new favorite chilly-weather habit, it also makes the sweetest homemade gift for the holidays. You can grab a few festive mugs from the Dollar Tree, scoop the tea mix into a pretty mason jar, toss in a cute tea towel or two, and arrange it all in a little basket. It looks so thoughtful, costs hardly anything to put together, and everyone absolutely loves receiving something homemade.

Spiced Tea
3 cups of Tang
1 cup instant tea with lemon (Lipton is what I used)
1 cup Splenda
1 ½ tsp. of cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg

I placed everything in a big bowl and just mix it together. I then add 1 to 2 TBSP. of the mix to a mug with boiling hot water. As soon as you make this, you’re going to want a cup of it.
