Spiced Tea (recipe)

“There is a child in every one of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly-lit front porch.”
(Robert Brault)

Hello, my lovely friends!

There is nothing better than a hot cup of spiced tea once the weather starts cooler down and the leaves start changing colors. My Mom has been making this recipe since I was little (single digit little) and she has always called it spiced tea, but a couple of years ago I’ve heard it referred to as “Russian Tea” or “Friendship Tea”. Whatever name you can it, it’s just smells and taste like autumn. This drink really makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Honestly, I suggest you make a big batch of this and put it in an air-tight container to enjoy all Fall and Winter long. This is also a great homemade gift for the holidays. I would get a couple of holidays mugs at the Dollar Tree and put the spiced tea in a mason jar with some tea towels and place everything in a basket.

Spiced Tea
3 cups of Tang
1 cup instant tea with lemon (Lipton is what I used)
1 cup Splenda
1 ½ tsp. of cinnamon
¼ tsp. ground cloves
¼ tsp. nutmeg

I placed everything in a big bowl and just mix it together. I then add 1 to 2 TBSP. of the mix to a mug with boiling hot water. As soon as you make this, you’re going to want a cup of it.

So glad you stopped by! Wishing you the coziest morning/afternoon/evening ahead. Can't wait for our paths to cross again!
