Tonight's entertainment is 'All About Eve' – a delightful blast from the past! I'm enjoying it while keeping in touch with Mike, who's working his night shift. Our routine is that I stay up until he gets home around 3am. Those late hours are my dedicated time for writing blogs, posting on Twitter, and indulging in a good film. It's my little slice of peaceful solitude.
I'd forgotten how brilliant this movie is! Can you believe it's almost been a year with Mike? It's been a journey with its highs and lows, but we've always found our way through things together. I'm so grateful for that. Of course, you know me, I'm a big thinker! I've definitely spent time wondering about the long-distance aspect, but I'm also really hopeful about what the future holds for us.
We've been talking a lot lately, and we're both really excited about what the future holds. We've made plans for him to visit in June, and my sister is planning to come out too, so she can meet him. After that, she'll be helping Mom with a trip, which will give us some wonderful time together. We're both really looking forward to building a future together, and I can't wait to see where things go.

For some reason in life that is a movie I have not seen but I am going to look for it and finally watch it. I do love old movies very much can't believe I missed it. I am happy for you with your plans with Mike and I do hope they work out for the very best for both of you. Huge hugs

ReplyDeleteSo nice it’s been a year that you’ve connected w/Mike! All I can say is DH and I met on a cruise (long story). He lived in NYC and I lived in a suburb of Chicago. We talked daily, took turns flying to visit monthly, and here we are . . . 36 yrs. later. Who would have thought. In fact, my bestie kept saying on the flight home from the cruise that I was going to marry him. I said you’re crazy. She was RIGHT! LOL I wish you and Mike all the very best!
