"Life is like a camera. Just focus on what's important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives, and if things don't turn out - take another shot." (Author Unknown)
Hello, my lovely friends!
The crisp air of a new year whispers promises of fresh starts. It's the perfect time to turn over a new leaf, to ditch the old script and pen a thrilling new chapter. Many of us feel an irresistible urge to break free from those pesky bad habits and cultivate new ones that will blossom into personal growth.
But let's be honest, a complete lifestyle overhaul is about as realistic as a one-man band playing a symphony. It's simply overwhelming! Instead, focus your energy like a laser beam. Choose one area of your life that yearns for transformation. This targeted approach is your secret weapon for lasting change.
So, let’s start with those few goals I have for myself this year.
- Lose weight
- Be more active
- Eat healthier
- De-clutter and organize the house
- Share more of my culture
- Make things simple
January is my 'spring cleaning' for the soul. Instead of bulldozing through the year, I'm clearing the mental and physical clutter that's been piling up. A clean slate sets the stage for a vibrant and successful 2025.
- Clean and organize the kitchen – in order to eat healthier and lose weight I need a healthy kitchen including the pantry, fridge, and freezer.
- Organize the Christmas decorations – there are a lot of decorations, but they’re not really organized.
- Start waking up fifteen minutes earlier each week.
- Drink a glass of lemon water every morning
- Make three or more new recipes
- Take fifteen to thirty minutes to journal in the morning
Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you a day/evening/morning filled with sunshine, laughter, and perhaps a little bit of magic. Until next time, ta-ta for now!
Ambitions and goals seem to pop out for many of us as the calendar turns. Wishing you a great Friday and success in your endeavors to put "best foot forward" into 2025. Doing the same. (( Big Hugs ))
ReplyDeleteOrganize and clean...either physically or mentally or both...admirable goals. 🤗💖
ReplyDeleteI cannot say I have many new goals . . . just have to keep on the lifestyle path that has worked for me over the years. I want to remain functionally fit, emotionally and spiritually healthy and find joy in every day. To do that I will continue my exercises, plan my meals, stick to my meal plans, get fresh air daily (easy w/Miss Lilly around needing outside time!), journaling daily (gratitude journal).
ReplyDeleteYES decluttering is a regular part of it all, too. Paper clutter, emotional clutter . . . try to make progress on taming those daily.
HUGS and Happy New Year!

It's Kathy. Great goals to work toward. I so want to get started cleaning out my various rooms and doing a deep cleaning in each one. I also plan to go through my seeds so I can start making a garden plan. These are my two most important goals. I know I'll go to the gym because that's enjoyable to me. Hopefully once I'm back fully I will drop some of the weight I've picked up since my surgery! And I think this year, like you, I really need to clean out my hard drive!
